Manage Job renames a job and the locations and HyperNotes inside it.
- In the top bar, click Jobs.
- In the job's row, click ⋮, then Manage Job.
The page has three tabs: Job, Locations and HyperNotes. The tabs show how many locations and HyperNotes the job has.
Rename the job
- On the Job tab, type the new name in Job name.
- Wait for "Job name is available". (The name follows the same rules as when creating a job; see Job List.)
- Click Save. "Job renamed to …" confirms it.
Reset puts the current name back.
Rename a location or a HyperNote
- On the Locations or HyperNotes tab, click the pencil next to the name.
- Type the new name.
- Press Enter or click ✓ to save; press Escape or click ✕ to cancel.
Two locations, or two HyperNotes, may share a name: you are asked to confirm with Use anyway.
- On Locations, the job's VR home base is marked (Default VR).
- On HyperNotes, each note also shows its location, who recorded it, its length and when it was made, in your local time. The newest generated names are listed first.
If people are in the job
If someone is in the job when you rename something, you are asked first. They keep seeing the old name until they leave and enter the job again. Click Rename anyway to continue.
When renaming is blocked
Names cannot be changed while the job is busy. A yellow banner says why:
- "This job is checked out by …": wait until it is checked in (see Check In/Check Out).
- "This job is being processed …": an export, import, duplicate or maintenance is running. Wait until it finishes.
The page checks every 10 seconds and unblocks itself when the job is free.
